“I painted these works through the Summer. Long hot nights and dark foggy mornings remained a constant. Picked flowers from the garden wilt within a day or two, and it’s too warm for dinner, so fruit will suffice.  I love this Summer feeling. Just as it goes, there are highs and lows in every season. And so the pieces ‘It Felt Blue, So I Cried’ and ‘Song For A Summer Night’ hum this melancholy tune. Still, sombre, regaining.  And the Summer goes on, until it’s Summer again, Goodnight.” - Giorgia Bel
