Born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, Sarah Darling now lives and works in Lismore in the Northern Rivers, New South Wales, Australia.

Darling graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor in Interior and Spatial Design from the University of Technology Sydney, and then in 2019 completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Southern Cross University and COFA / UNSW Art & Design) where she majored in painting and sculpture.

Darling’s painting practice involves working with colour and abstract forms, often in large scale works. She creates intuitively and her projects are often material led. They are as much about process as they are about outside inspiration. Darling enjoys creating conversations between colours and mixing colours in unconventional ways.
